Abstract: 

A NEW DATA-DRIVEN METHOD BASED ON REALIZATION THEORY HAS BEEN EXAMINED FOR ESTIMATION OF STATE SPACE MODEL WITH BUILD UP OR DRAW DOWN DATA OF A PRODUCING WELL. THIS METHOD CONSIDERS THE RESERVOIR AS A LINEAR SYSTEM AND TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE CORRESPONDING CONSTRAINTS AS LINEAR MATRIX INEQUALITIES CONSTRAINTS. THE METHOD SHOWS GOOD RESULTS FOR SYNTHETIC AND FIELD DATA.

Abstract: 

Producion of efficient antimicrobial drugs against to common human pathogens is one of the most important challenges in the field of medical microbiology. Continuous screening of clinical isolates and survey of antimicrobial resistance pattern is critical.Today, disk diffusion and dilution methods are known as the common antimicrobial susceptibility TESTing methods. Disk diffusion method does not render dependable results in determination of antimicrobial susceptibility pattern because this method is semi quantitative. MIC determination by microdilution and macrodilution techniques and recent method “E-TEST”, have given interpretable results to researchers. Microdilution and macrodilution methods are also time consuming, expensive and error- prone methods. Whereas E-TEST method is one of the means by which we will be able to determine susceptibility pattern of known species in low cost and short time. In this survey, constructing and printing of E-TEST, coating of antibiotic on O.H.P film and quality control of constructed E-TESTs were performed according to M7 A7 CLSI Standard. In this study quality of required materials for E-TEST Production were suitable. Evaluation of constructed strips was performed using standard strain of staphylococcus aureus and reproducibly of results was appreciated.

Abstract: 

Contact dermatitis is an inflammatory skin disease due to contact with different substances and caused by two mechanisms: allergy and irritation. Contact dermatitis is a common skin disease and the most common occupational dermatosis. Differentiating between allergic and irritant contact dermatitis is essential in the identification of etiologic factor(s) and hence, its control and prognosis. This differentiation can be done only by patch TEST. Unfortunately, this simple, safe and useful TEST is always neglected. We review the basics of patch TEST, the method of performance, reading and interpretation of its results, possible side effects and results of studies done with patch TEST in different countries.

Abstract: 

Radio Telecommunication between satellites and ground stations is considered as one of the key parts of SPACE missions. Since controlling a satellite is carried out using Telemetry-Telecommand (TT&C) and positioning links, these two satellite links are crucial. Unlike ground antennas, there are many requirements in designing SPACE antennas depending on the type of communication. Due to the rotation of the satellite around the Earth and the need to maintain the communication with the satellite, one of the most important requirements in designing TT&C and positioning links antennas is to create a relatively omnidirectional radiation pattern with circular polarization to cover at least 300 degrees of SPACE. On the other hand, the location of antennas on the satellite, type of satellite structure and dimension considering mass budget constraints are other important challenges which determine the antenna layout and location, as well as the antenna type. In this paper, the challenges in designing the TT&C and positioning links antennas for a remote sensing satellite in VHF and UHF frequency bands are investigated, then the designed antennas are fabricated. Finally, the simulation and TEST results are compared.

Abstract: 

The present study investigated varieties of C-TEST as measures of General Language proficiency (GLP). C-TEST was first introduced into language TESTing as a modification of close procedure. The original C-TEST was developed by mutilating the second half of every other word, beginning from word two ID sentence two of [l passage. Through various studies, C-TEST proved an integrative and a highly reliable and valid measure of (GLP. The present study was also aimed at further confirming those findings by investigating not only the original C-TEST but other varietis of C-TEST. To this end ten C-TEST versions were developed, by applying different deletion techniques and deletion rates, and were administered among nearly 500 senior EFL students, in the way that each form was given to almost 50 subjects. All the subjects had already taken a TOEFL. and a close TEST prior to the administration of the C-TESTs. The results of data analyses showed that C:-TEST may measure different things one of which might be general language proficiency and as such, not all varieties of C-TEST measure this construct to the same extent.

Abstract: 

It is henceforth a commonplace; the science-fiction would be a refractory genre by nature against the definitive assimilation to the literary mainstream. We can say that the usual thematic of the genre, to which is added the irresistible propensity to prospect the future in all its forms, immunizes the SF against the “academic confinement” to the benefit of other forms of confinement. Indeed, the SF belongs to the great family of the paraliterature where the more or less listed subgenres are waiting to receive a likely definition. Popular genre which relies on a remarkable poetic, the SF is an open place to the imagination, to the verbal and the figurative creativity. It owns itself its subgenres, among other things, the SPACE opera which was, in a way, the original matrix of the speculative fiction and of its contemporary imitators. The Sternberg’s work did not have a special vocation to feed the already rich world of the science-fiction. It constitutes however a new step liable to bring a touch of self-reflexivity, we will notice that, to the history of this genre. French: “Le Navigateur” de Jacques Sternberg ou la phylogenese parodiee du SPACE opera C’est dorenavant un lieu commun, la science-fiction serait un genre par nature refractaire a l’assimilation definitive au mainstream litteraire. Nous dirons que les thematiques habituelles du genre, auxquelles viennent se meler l’irresistible propension a prospecter l’avenir sous toutes ses formes, immunisent la SF contre “l’enfermement academique” au profit d’un enfermement d’un autre genre. En effet, celle-ci appartient, comme on le sait, a la grande famille de la paralitterature ou se cotoient les sous-genres plus ou moins repertories en attente de recevoir un semblant de definition. Genre populaire s’appuyant sur une poetique singuliere, la SF est un lieu ouvert a l’imagination, a la creativite verbale et figurative. Elle possede elle-meme ses sous-genres, entre autres, le SPACE opera qui fut en quelque sorte la matrice originelle de la fiction speculative et de ses emules contemporaines. L’oeuvre sternbergienne n’eut guere pour vocation de nourrir le repertoire deja riche de la science-fiction. Abstract: 

The SPACE environment can cause severe problems for electronic circuits. The plasma, radiation, debris, and no thermal convection are some SPACE environment-specific conditions. SPACE radiations are the source of several damages, such as total ionizing dose (TID). During a satellite’, s mission life, the TID gradually degrades the quality of the electronic components. Designing reliable equipment requires enough information about the mission environment. Some part of this information could be obtained employing dosimetry. There are several dosimeters based on the type and intensity of radiation sources. In the present work, a dosimeter has been introduced that could measure the TID for a satellite in a low earth orbit. This dosimeter uses a RadFET to measure the TID. The simulation results and implemented version of the dosimeter verify the accuracy and quality of the proposed dosimeter. The low power consumption, fast data recording, and thermal stability are some of the features of the proposed dosimeter.

Abstract: 

Background: Streptococcal pharyngitis is the most common type of acute bacterial pharyngitis that may have different complications if remained untreated. On the other hand, antibiotics may impose side effects if prescribed for healthy subjects, thus, the appropriate diagnosis of affected individuals is of utmost importance. Previous studies have indicated the accuracy of Rapid TEST for streptococcal pharyngitis, so the present study was conducted to determine the accuracy of Rapid TEST among a group of Iranians.Materials and methods: For this clinical trail, 320 consecutive cases of sore throat were enrolled. Rapid TEST was performed for all cases; however, culture was our gold standard for diagnosis. Finally, positive predictive value and negative predictive value were calculated.Results: The study population included 150 males and 170 females with the mean age of 21 ± 7 years. The positive and negative predictive values of Rapid TEST were 66% and 98.5%, respectively.Conclusion: With respect to the known complications of acute pharyngitis, we strongly recommend Rapis TEST for all patients with sore throat.

Abstract: 

Background: Cement SPACE is necessary for seatabillity and fitness of cast crowns, but can affect crown's retention. In this study the interrelationship between them was investigated via die spacing.Materials and Method: For evaluating the effect of die spacing (cement SPACE) on crown retention after cementation, 50 similar machined metallic dies were prepared and divided into five groups and coated with 0.2, 4, 6, 8 layers of paint-on standard die SPACEr, respectively. Cast crowns. Were fabricated on the dies using base metal alloys, and then cemented with zinc phosphate cement under a constant load of 5kg for 10 minutes. The samples were started in distilled water for 48 hours. Then the force required to remove each crown from the die was measured with instron.Results: Statistical analysis revealed a significant increase in the force required (crown retention) by adding layers of die SPACEr (p<0.05).Conclusion: Because retention didn't show any significant increase with more than 4 layers of die SPACEr, so optimum thickness of die SPACEr (or cement SPACE produced) is suggested to be 4 layers equal to 40 microns.
